Stuart Mansell will be competing in the 250 National Kart Championships at Dunkeswell Kart Racing Club and Forest Edge Kart Club, starting in February 2010. We have built this site to follow his progress and hopefully allow anyone who is interested in participating to see how it's done, including avoiding any pitfalls along the way.
Stuart was first introduced to karting when he was growing up in the Middle East. Every weekend, a contingent of ex pats converged on the town of Ahmadi in Kuwait to race and Stuart and his father regularly went to watch. Needless to say Stuart got the bug and after several drives as a youngster, and upon his return to good old Blighty, he is now in a position to really bite the bullet.
Stuart bought his kart from his good friend Roy Beal. Roy has been racing karts for a few years and luckily had a spare one that he sold to Stuart for......well not a lot really, a '94 Anderson Ak chassis and a '93 Rotax 257 engine. Stuart has since upgraded his kart to an '05 Anderson Maverick chassis and an '01 Honda CR250 engine.

As we progress through the pre season testing and then into the championship itself, this website will be updated throughout the year, so if you want to follow progress then keep popping back for a visit.
